NEWS FROM THE COURTHOUSE ANNEX
As of September 1, 2014 Rule 902(10) of the Texas Rules of Evidence is amended by the Supreme Court and the Court of Criminal Appeals. The change in the rule was instructed by the legislature in the last session. Business Records Affidavits are no longer filed with the clerk in order to admit them into evidence for cases filed after September 1, 2014. The party wishing to admit the record must serve it on the other party or parties in accordance with the rules.

On August 27, 2013 after a public hearing the Commissioner’s Court of McLennan County approved the Document Preservation Plan of the McLennan County District Clerk. You may obtain a copy here.
